PIWI - PHP Transformation Framework

PIWI is a web centric framework written in PHP. It is designed to easily create websites that can be rendered in various formats.
Its main goals are:

Fast development of complete webpages
Easy integration of different datasources: databases, XML, files
Various output formats: HTML, PDF, XML, DOC, XLS
Separation of contents and logic from rendering

The basic concepts and ideas have been stolen from the great Java-Applications Apache Cocoon and Apache Forrest.
Cocoon is still great, but very complex and of course in Java, which makes it not useful for people who want the power for their small project, but not the pain.

PIWI runs on every standard PHP-Webhost with PHP > 5 installed.
